Move-out questions
What condition does my lease require the floor to be in?
It depends on your lease. Look at the surrender or move-out section. Many ask for the space back in broom-clean condition, less normal wear and tear, and some also require the tenant to remove markings or improvements it added. Your landlord or broker can confirm what applies.
Send us the written move-out requirements and we will scope the work to them. BlastTex does not interpret leases, certify move-out condition, or guarantee the return of a security deposit.
How soon before the walkthrough should we schedule?
As early as you can, ideally two to three weeks out. The floor needs to be empty, and leaving a few days of cushion before the walkthrough helps.
Can you remove every trace of old lines and stains?
Not always. Paint and striping remove well, but faint shadows of old markings can remain, and oil that has penetrated deep into the slab may remain. We tell you what to expect before we start.
Do you work for landlords as well as tenants?
Yes. We prep floors for outgoing tenants, for landlords and property managers turning a space, and for brokers getting a building ready to show.
