Our services

Concrete shot blasting and mechanical surface preparation are our core work. Sweeping and scrubbing prepare the floor before blasting and leave it clean after, and Floor Care Plans keep it that way.

Striping or coating contractor? We prepare the surface; you finish it. BlastTex does not sell or install coatings or striping, so your client relationship remains yours. How we work with contractors →

One team, one written price, one point of accountability

You hire one company, receive one written proposal, and one person is accountable for the floor.

BlastTwo Blastrac walk-behind shot blasters, plus a ride-on for large open floors
RemoveOld lines, striping, paint, and thin coatings taken back to concrete
CleanA ride-on sweeper, battery-powered and diesel ride-on scrubbers, and walk-behind scrubbers

We bring our own HEPA dust extraction and generator, haul everything in our own trailer and photograph every job. Commercial general liability insured.

Large floors: we bring the ride-on shot blaster, phase the work around your operation and add help when the project requires it.

Dock and ramp restoration

Many warehouse forklifts run on smooth tires. Tire rubber, hydraulic fluid and moisture reduce traction on concrete ramps for forklifts and pedestrians alike.

We sweep, scrub and shot blast docks, ramps, truck lanes and walkways to remove buildup and restore texture, and we scarify ramps that need more than shot blasting provides.

Results vary by surface. BlastTex does not test or certify slip resistance or regulatory compliance.

Garage floors and driveways

Poor preparation is a common cause of garage coating failure. We shot blast the slab and grind every edge so your coating bonds to clean, textured concrete; you or your installer apply the coating. We also shot blast oil-stained driveways, sidewalks and patios, and we work with landlords, property managers and investors on rental turnovers.

From $1,500 for up to 400 sq ft, a typical 2-car garage or driveway, within 50 miles of Hurst.

Why surface preparation matters

Garages

Poor preparation is a common cause of coating failure. Fixing it means grinding off the failed coating, preparing the slab again and paying for a second coating.

Docks and ramps

Tire rubber, hydraulic fluid and moisture reduce traction for forklifts and pedestrians. Routine cleaning and resurfacing cost far less than a single incident.

Move-outs

Markings and buildup left behind can lead to charges at the walkthrough. Removing them first usually costs less.

Professional service or equipment rental? Renting a shot blaster, dust collector, generator and trailer costs about as much as hiring BlastTex, before your time and the learning curve. We bring more than 15 years of shot blasting experience. See the full cost comparison →

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions clients ask most before they hire.

Why hire BlastTex instead of renting a shot blaster?

Renting the equipment costs about as much as hiring BlastTex, before your time and the learning curve. We bring more than 15 years of shot blasting experience and everything the job requires. See the cost comparison →

Why not choose the lowest quote?

Compare what is included, not just the number. Our price covers mobilization within 50 miles, HEPA dust collection, edges, cleanup and a photo report, in writing. A lower quote that omits edge work or documentation can cost more if the coating fails.

Do we have to shut down while you work?

In most cases, no. We work nights, weekends and in phased zones around forklift and foot traffic, and we follow your site’s safety rules. Tell us your hours, and we will plan around them.

How soon can you start?

Availability varies by week and project size. Send photos and your deadline to 817-600-8452, and we will confirm the first available date.

Is a deposit required?

Homeowners reserve their date with a deposit that is applied to the total: $250 within 50 miles of Hurst. Cancel 72 or more hours ahead and it is refunded in full. Commercial projects receive a project-specific payment schedule on the proposal; a mobilization payment and progress billing may apply depending on size and scope, and approved commercial accounts may qualify for billing terms.

What do we receive when the job is complete?

A prepared floor and a Time-Stamped Photo Report covering before, during and after. Share it with your installer, your landlord or your project file.
